@heavenslight:  to have it completely ready a month in advance would be too early for my comfort.  That last month is so crucial with stress and all kinds of emotion, and the potential for weight gain or loss.  My dress was fitted perfectly, but almost too perfectly- to the point where if I gained even three pounds of water weight, it wouldn’t have zipped.

My dress was ready a week before the wedding.  I think one to two weeks is regular.

Mine will be ready October 18 and my wedding is November 10, so 3 weeks before the wedding. I’m not concerned at all!

@heavenslight:  Mine was ready 3+ months early, of course it was a corset so weight gain/loss was less of an issue.

@heavenslight:  I had my last fitting this week, which is 1 month before my wedding. Mine is a Sophia Tolli corset back so it can definitely go tighter or looser if needed. Since yours is a corset I wouldn’t worry about it.

My dress was ready 5 weeks before. I’m not worried at all, but my dress does have a corset back.

I would want it closer to the wedding. My wedding is in 2 weeks, and I’ve already had 2 fittings. My 3rd (and probably final) fitting is next week, 1 week before the big day.

Mine will be done 2.5 months in advance. Its pretty much ready now, it just needs to be taken up because I am only wearing 2 inch heels. That said, I have been the same weight since I was like, 15 AND it has a corset back, so I’m not worried at all.

If you gain or lose weight easily, and don’t have a corset back then a month might be a little far away from the date though.

My fittings started 9/9!  Got to the next one Oct. 1, and it won’t be done until the week of the wedding (10/13/2013)

My last fitting was September 3rd for our September 7 wedding. I had 3 fittings and was quite happy that I had less than a week between the final fitting and the wedding. I knew that my dress would fit perfectly when I needed it to.
