I believe that October 18 or 19 is going to be the day he asks. We made some plans for that weekend – a nice hotel and a few places we wanted to visit in our state’s capital.
I know he wants to propose this year, and it just feels like it will be that weekend. Even if it’s not, it will still be an amazing weekend away, but I am getting very excited now!
Did any other bees guess the date?

@Exie: oh exciting!!! well i had a meltdown last month when i thought my SO was stringing me along and my SO ended up blurting out in a fit of frustration “well i was going to propose when we go to…..” I told him to stop i didn’t want to know! we have 3 trips planned for the rest of the year right up until Dec, one at the end of this month, one in October and one in Nov/Dec,so i’m thinking it will be on one of these! He might not and do it at a totally random time, but we have manic schedules so I reckon it will be on one of those trips! I’m happy to wait until the last trip until Dec and have sworn myself to shut it up until after that trip!
You don’t have long to wait! I live for my mini breaks away 🙂

@lina010: Thank you, I hope so too!
@Bettyboo1982: Aw, sorry to hear that. But I’m happy that it’s going to happen for you soonish! And I would have been the same – there’s no way I’d want him to tell me the date!

Love your picture Exie! HUGE Doctor Who fan. We have a 1 year anniversary coming up. I’ve expressed my feelings about wanting to be engaged (we’ve known each other for 5 years) I’m right there with you guys waiting for THE date and wanting to be surprised. I’m Irish and I take pride in my ancestry. He knows I want to be traditional. He’s insistant on going to our favorite Irish pub where we had our first date for our 1 year anniversary on the 10th. He’s already reserved the table we sat at on our first date. The proposal could very well be on that day. He’s the one, I know it. We’ve felt drawn to each other since my freshmen year of college.

@ScienceGeekgirl: I love Doctor Who too! David Tennant was definitely my favourite doctor 🙂
That’s really sweet – I hope it’s the date for you!
We’re going to be cosplaying for the first time on the weekend I suspect it’s on, as well as hading to the aquarium which I’ve wanted to do for the past 4 years, but we never had the time. It just seems like everything we wanted to do is being done on that day in October, so I just have a feeling the proposal will be then too.
