@hersheybride2013:  A shuttle is a wonderful idea. You could leave a decorative sign near the entrance so your guests will know which way to walk if they miss the shuttle or have someone wait behind, maybe a wedding planner or hotel employee. I also recommend maybe hiring some horse drawn carriages, if it is in the budget, or bicyclist to shuttle your guests. These are two different ideas if you want to mix it up and be more unique.

@hersheybride2013:  I’m sure most of your guests would be able to manage a 10 minute walk.

If the shuttle is not available, do you have any friends from whom you could borrow a golf cart for those who can’t manage the walk?

For the latecomers, you  could line the path with a few signs to point them in the right direction.

Our hotel was also about a 10 minute walk from the site, but we had about 3 times as many people. We were going to rent a 15 passenger van, but then my dad thought about borrowing in the van from the homeless shelter where he volunteers so we did that and just made a donation to the shelter. It worked well. For your wedding, do you know anyone with a mini van that you could borrow? And, yes, signs along the way will help walkers. We used balloons to make the signs more tall and visible.

@hersheybride2013:  I would guess most of your guests are capable of walking that far, but if in the event the hotel doesn’t provide a shuttle I would have something lined up for the older guests just as a courtesy, even if it is a smaller SUV.
