I have read your last post to help fill in the details of this post. First of all, go get you nails done before the vacation. You know, juuuuuust in case! Second of all, RELAX. It seems like the two of you have been through a lot. He thought about leaving, you wondered if you should stay….and I’m sure neither of you really think that’s the best answer. You are so anxious to get engaged, it seemed like it was hurting the relatioship. But I’m glad to hear you took Mr. Bees’s sage advice. So just stick to his plan. Keep focusing on things that YOU can control. Make plans for the vacation, start making a check list of things to pack, think about souvenirs that you want to get and who you want to get them for, make sure the house is clean before you leave for vacation (who wants to come home to a dirty house? yuck!), if you have some extra cash then go buy a new outfit for the trip, and call your bank to let them know you will be using your debit card while you are away. Focus on the trip and every aspect of it that you can control. Ignore the thought that he might propose. Ignore it, ignore it, ignore it! If he does something suspicious, rationalize it away. For example, tell yourself he’s sweating a lot because it’s hot, not because he’s nervous about popping the question. Don’t expect a proposal at all. This could be a trip simply to celebrate his new job. Who wouldn’t want a little R&R after leaving a job they hated? If he doesn’t ask you to marry him, then at least you had a nice vacation together and that didn’t complcate the relationship. And if he does end up proposing….then you come back here and tell us all about it!!! 😉

Hang in there!

Also, did you plan the vacation or did he? Your idea or his? Stay cool either way, but if it was your idea then I would think your chances of a proposal are slightly lower.
