Haven’t been there but I saw pictures and had considered visiting for venue search but realized it was too far.  The pictures look very nice though.  I agree though that 50% deposit is a lot to put down.  Can you negotiate that?

50% of what? The rental fee? If so, I think that is pretty normal. Hard to commit, but if you love it, do it. When choosing my venue, I took my florist with me. He REALLY helped me be able to create the exact ambiance I wanted, and was able to help me start to really see my day in that venue. Once we started talking I was so anxious to book it that I didn’t mind the desposit!! p.s. if you need a florist, I have pics of what mine did to my space. He was absolutely AMAZING, and waaay more reasonable than anyone else I looked at.

Good Luck with your venue!!

I got married last September at the Vineyards and my wedding was amazing. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make my wedding run smoothly. If you want to see my wedding picture you can check them out at at my website @ chrisanddanielle.net . Let me know if you have any other questions i would be happy to answer them.

I am getting marreid in Oct 8 2011

we split the $3000 down $1500 due at date to save the date and $1500 due a month later and 50% due 6 months prior to date of wedding. The last bit due 10 day prior to wedding.

so maybe things have changed or they are more willing to work with brides.
