UGH!!!  I let my mom order my bouqet so she would feel involved and I'm sure she ordered what I wanted but it's nowhere near it.  It was supposed to be a white and purple (mostly purple) bouquet with lots of iris, 50 stems in all.

What I got is a tiny bouquet of 23 stems with only 4 of those being iris.  Went to two florists and two grocery stores looking for purple flowers. Couldn't find any so I went with burgundy/redish purple flowers.

Me and fiance tore my bouqet apart, inserted the new flowers, and then had to wrap it again.  I'm sooooo pissed.  Hope my mom can get her money back.

I'll post pics when I upload stuff on Friday.  I took before and after pics.

I'm sorry that happened! It sounds like you found an adequate solution, so take some deep breaths and try to move on... there are probably a few more curveballs coming your way in the next 24 hours, so hopefully this is the worst of them!

My guess is that irises got really rare and your florist wasn't able to get them for the price they anticipated - seems like the grocery store scarcity might be an indicator that there were problems with the purple flower supply? Anyway, good job rolling with it.

Can you scrap it and go to a grocery store and get something more simple? You could always go with white and/or green! Whatever you decide, good luck! And try to remember to get lots of photos without your bouquet if you still hate it.

Oh nooo!!! I'm so sorry. I was really nervous about how my bouquet would turn out since a family friend made it, and it wasn't perfect, but to me it was beautiful. I loved it. I hope you can find a solution to make you feel better about it!

I'm sure when you look back on it, it'll just seem like a little hiccup and you'll love it- because you and your FH made it :o) Trying to look on the bright side of life!

Oh no! I say scrap it and make something totally new if you can - if it's something completely different you might not hate it as much as something that was 'supposed' to be one thing but looks different? I'm sure they look beautiful no matter what though, and you'll just have to let it go and enjoy tomorrow, you're getting married!!

Oh no, I'm so sorry! I like what Mouse suggested...could you go to the grocery store and find some completely new flowers to make a new bouquet? I bet you could do it!

Oh my goodness.  I'm so sorry.  That stinks.  I'm glad you were able to improvise.  It's really hard, but try not to dwell on it!

Oh no!!! That is such a disappointment. But hopefully you'll have such a great day tomorrow that you won't even have a chance to think about it!

Just reread my post... what a downer! What I meant, of course, was this: you will have a wonderful day tomorrow. There will probably be some things that happen that are not the way you planned them - it's just what happens when you've planned so much! Have a wonderful day, and remember to enjoy it! Best wishes!

Don't stres, try to keep in mind they are only flowers, and that YOU are the main focus of the big day!  How often will you really have them in your hand anyway Smile

Hopefully your excitement with the day will make you feel better about the flowers!

I like Mouse's idea.  I'd think you could find some flowers to change or recreate a bouquet at the grocery store or florist.  We made our own bouquets and they were super cheap and easy to put together.  You might be able to make something easily that will be more of what you wanted.

Oh no! I hope you've been able to find something to either replace it or make you feel less hateful towards it. Also, by now you should be enjoying your reception so congratulations!

I think simple is the way to go.  I don't know how fake flowers would look blended in with your real flowers but maybe that is worth a try?

Good luck tomorrow and remember to enjoy your day, afterall, YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED!!! :)
