I can’t believe I am getting married on Friday!! It feels so surreal. I just sent my seating chart and thank you sign to the printers, printed my menus and had the printer cut them for me, finished my cardbox on the weekend and have put all the candles in their respective votive holders!
My biggest tasks are yet to come though, as I thought it would be a great idea to bake my own cookies for favours, and give 3-4 to each guest, depending on how many can fit in the chinese takeout boxes my Dad got us. So that means I have approximately 300 cookies to be baked Wednesday night (thank goodness FI has a family bakery, and we can use their industrial convection ovens), plus I have to do all the flowers on Thursday morning.
A friend of mine who got married last year says she can’t believe how organized I am, and that I seem to have everything covered – here’s hoping she’s right, and I haven’t forgotten anything important!!
I love this community and will definitely be hanging around after our wedding, but just want to thank everyone for all the advice I have received on here!

@Baroness_Meg: I baked cookies for my favors, and it went surprisingly quickly. What kind of cookies are you going to do? I wanted iced sugar cookies, so I had a friend who is really good at baking help me. I made the dough, she rolled out, cut the circles and I iced them once they were cool. It took us about 4 hours to do 120 cookies. I imagine if you’re not rolling dough/cutting shapes/icing cookies you could get a lot more done in that time frame.
Plus, I had to cool them for 24 hours, then stuff them into individual bags, etc. So I started a few weeks ago. They are currently all packed up and in the freezer. I’ll thaw them on Wednesday evening (my wedding is Saturday). I think you can do it!

@Baroness_Meg: Date twin! All I have to do is make a cd for the ceremony, get a memory candle, and order some pita wraps for us to eat while getting ready. And then move my clothes into our apartment. But I’m sick 🙁 waah! So I took the day off from doing anything wedding-related to relax.
I’m suprisingly not stressed about it at all. It seems surreal that it’s already here!

@KJDee92813: We are doing the Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookie – no icing or cutting needed!! Imperfect circles it is! LOL.
I am glad I am not the only crazy lady to decide to bake our own favour!! 🙂

I second not being stressed, I feel pretty good about it all! We are going to our MC’s house tonight to go over the timeline, and pretty much everything else is set!! 🙂
