Had my first dress fitting yesterday – was a complete flop. So starting tomorrow I’m going to kick my butt into high gear. I have 4 months to lose 25 pounds, my gut, and my thunder thighs. No way I’m looking like this on my big day! Who’s with me??

I have to be admit, I’d hoped to lose as much of 20 pounds as possible, and have only lost 1. But I’ve lost inches from working out and eating better. So don’t focus on the number! I recommend taking measurements; those will be much more encouraging numbers than your scale.

I am! I’m hoping to lose 15, but by may/june.
ETA: My figure looks a lot like yours, and I totally get that while you’re not nearly as heavy as some people, you feel heavy for yourself. I’m the heaviest I’ve been by about 10 lbs. I started jogging around my block (1 mile) twice a day yesterday! So we’ll see how big a difference that makes

Best of luck! But just so you know – you look great already and will be absolutely gorgeous on your big day no matter what!

I think you look beautiful the way you are, and remember your FI does, too.

@coolbride125: I think you look fine. I would focus more on toning than weight loss and inches like @abirdword stated.
@abirdword: I’ve barely lost any weight in the past month or so but I have definetly lost inches. Now I sort of regret not measuring that. But FI has noticed that my belly has shrunk and I fit into my old size 10 jeans. There still a little tight but they fit. All in all its been good. I can’t wait til I can seriously work out again though. 🙂

@coolbride125: Can I just say your dress is beautiful? And the best thing about dresses is they cover up thighs!

Sorry for the all caps, I’m just in shock due to the discrepancy between your title and your picture!

You look gorgeous in that dress already! But hey I’m in, I can always lose some weight lol I have about 95 lbs to spare!

@abirdword: I definitely agree with you! The number on the scale does not tell the whole story.
I think you look phenomenal already, but I’m a huge proponent of strength and conditioning. You won’t get ‘bulky’ by lifting weights so don’t waste time worrying about that! And besides focusing on your health now while at the same time planning a wedding (which can definitely be stressful) will help create a great foundation for future healthy living. And then when life gets stressful and busy with kiddies running around, you’ll have confidence that you can still maintain your health and fitness!
