https://www.hubub.com/133529/210215

I am thinking either these purples or a mint green scheme. My fear is that in fall, it will be innaporpriate. Has anyone done mint or purples for fall? I feel like it should be a dark purple not light like I like. I don’t really want to change my wedding date but the idea that I’ll have this out of place spring theme going on in September is causing me stress!!! Help me bees.

I’m doing Tiffany blue (which is kind of mint-y) and my wedding is this Saturday. Do any color you want. It doesn’t have to align with seasonal expectations!

bearbear6: Hey, the link didn’t work for me. I think a mint green scheme works for sure.

It tried to add the <br up top, you just have to remove it to get the link to work.

bearbear6: I think either the purples in your link or the mint would be fine. Sometimes we overthink color palettes.
If you go out into a vineyard in the fall, there are many shades of purple and green.

I’m planning purples and greens (lavender, plum, mint, hunter green) and pastel yellow. We don’t have a date yet, and the colors will be the same regardless of season, which might be anywhere from March-November.

Sorry guys! https://www.hubub.com/133529/210215 without the <b should work. I had never even thought of how beautiful the purple would be in a vineyard!!! @julies1949 you may have just decided the location of my wedding! I love purple, yellow and green as a colour scheme in general but for some reason fall has always made me think orange, mauve, and eggplant.

This looks nice and even a little fall-ish! Don’t worry about the season though, I’m doing Navy blue in May lol

- Wedding: September 2014 - Forest and Ball Room
Our colors are hunter green, light pink and gold. Not even close to fall colors and we are getting married next saturday. Honestly, no one will be demanding orange, red and brown just because your wedding is in fall. Go with what you guys want and ignore outside comments, no matter what you do someone is going to object to it. The colors are lovely and the inspiration pics by playdohpants is gorgeous!

it’s YOUR wedding! 🙂 Do it when YOU want!! No body makes the rules but you. 🙂
I’m doing ivory gold and black in September. Not really fall colors at all. I hate orange and I hate pumpkins. My wedding is totally anti-fall.

Haha @MissCoupon! Yeah the more I think about it the more I’m like I don’t even like fall colours! I just love the leaves and the weather. But not on my clothes. Thanks so much guys you are so helpful!!!

My wedding will also be September of next year and I’m planning on doing a pinkish purple called suede rose with pops of mint and peach. I don’t think it should matter what anyone else thinks but yourself. I made a photoshop mock up of my color scheme for inspiration.
P.S. Techinically it’s summer until mid/end of September 😉 so you can always use that excuse

bearbear6: my wedding is late September and I’m actually doing plum, orange, and silver 🙂 I love the colors together. I’m trying to go for a vintagey theme but we shall see. Here are aome pictures I put together for you:
Top left are manzanita branches I got. Future Mother-In-Law is holding it. It will have 3-4 hanging votives. That’s half of the Centerpieces.
Top right are what the other half of th Centerpieces will have with my rose petals (bottom right) sprinkled around them. I haven’t decided if the manzanita tables will have rose petals too or not.
The bottom left are the flowers for the top right Centerpieces.
Top left are examples of the BMs dresses they liked all are plum color by bill levkoff.
Top right is sort of an example of the groomsmen attire. grey suits with purple ties. Fi will wear a bow tie and maybe have a lighter style gray. He will be wearing a silver vest or ivory not sure yet.
Bottom left is what I want my bouquet to be. Bottom right is something similar to what I want the BMs to carry.
