lol…… so I just realized our wedding is timed perfectly after Christmas, during which my very puerto rican family loves to eat.
Anyone else with me on this? To all other date or month twins….. what are your holiday eating plans???
Please tell me I’m not the only one who is saving the cookies and eggnog till after the big day! I don’t need to lose weight but I sure don’t need to gain any. I just had my last dress fitting!

I am on a diet too around the holidays. I plan on just having a glass of champagne at Christmas dinner and loading up on the veggies. Also planning on working out hardcore before and after the holidays to burn off excess cals. It will be SO HARD but just know you’re not alone in this!!

I don’t think you need to completely put yourself on a diet but choose your indulgences wisely. If there is a dish you love, eat some of that but don’t eat a bit of everything that is available at the holiday feast.

lol, I’ve had the same worries. There’s a very similar thread going on in the January 2012 forum, which you can find right here.

I signed up for a 5k race on Dec 31 (it’s a “new year’s resolution run”) which is forcing me to get my butt on the treadmill (or sometimes even outside! Where it’s so cold!). I say: bring on the shortbread cookies! Mmmm

Oh my, I have the same worries im getting married right after xmas (day before you) and we have so many work parties and so much food and drink, its crazy.
How im combatting it, I am not going to drink any alcohol, boring xmas I know but its easy calories to cut. Keep up exercise as usual and eat practically nothing when im not out to counter act the bad effects.
Otherwise my dress is lace up so should be ok!
