Ok bees, Im home sick so Im doing a lot of online stuff, purchasing bridesmaid gifts/getting ideas. I have 6 BMs. This is what I have in mind for them and its def. not cheap:
Necklace — 22$
Gold or Pink Sequin Clutch: (20$)
A robe similar to these styles: (27$)
A Lip gloss from my MAC MUA: (15$)
Some Sort of gold flip flops for reception dancing: (25$)
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray Travel Size: (14$)
& I’m also paying for the their makeup to be done which is 50$ per girl plus tip.
So for the gifts im looking at roughly 129$ per girl plus paying for their makeup. Is this enough??
When I was in my sisters wedding, all we got was one pair of earrings to wear for the day and I appreciated it and didnt think twice! I want my girls to be happy, but also not break my bank.
What do you think bees?

I think this is MORE than enough. Especially for 6 people!!! Very generous of you and great stuff!

These are lovely additions to your wedding day.
Are you presenting each girl something personal and thoughtfully chosen for her… as a thank you for being a valued friend?

@Barbiestylez: Those all seem like props for your wedding – I mean, good not to ask your bridesmaids to buy these things themselves, but are you getting them anything that’s just for them, not for your wedding day photos?

@Barbiestylez: I don’t see why the makeup is necessary if you’re paying for their makeup to get done. I’d drop those and go with the rest.

@Barbiestylez: that’s plenty! And all great in my opinion.
Those are all things I would actually use after the wedding as well. If your girls are like me they’ll use all this stuff post wedding too. You know them best though.

@HannahGrace: well the lip gloss would be something they choose and can use after the wedding. The robe is not monogrammed so they can use after the wedding. i mean I guess I could make them buy their own necklace, earrings, shoes, etc etc and give them a gift card? That seems lame to me though. the weddings I’ve been to have only given a necklace or a pair of earrings for the wedding day, that’s it. i can’t afford to buy them all the accessories, pay for their mua and also pay for some of their BM dresses AND buy them personalized gifts for after the wedding so what does a girl do?

@MrsRevolutionize: I juat thought to retouch during the night and if they love a color they can have it for after the wedding for daily use.

@Barbiestylez: Fair enough, but I still don’t see why the setting spray is necessary then–the sole purpose of it is to make sure their makeup stays put, so they shouldn’t have to re-apply it (theoretically, of course–I’ve never used it myself!). But otherwise very nice, and I’m totally jelly of those gold sequin clutches.

@Barbiestylez: I can’t believe some people are giving you crap saying those are all props for your wedding! That is waaaaaaaaay more than I would consider giving and it isn’t like they will throw that stuff away after the wedding! And the flip flops aren’t for the photos… you said they are for dancing at the reception.

@Barbiestylez: Definately more than enough!

great gifts! i think you’re getting them loads – if you’re looking to reduce a bit, i’d just buy a large size of the UD spray and have it under the sink or in the bridal suite in case they need a touchup – the large is probably about 30 dollars so you’ll save about 60 or more if you don’t buy them each the travel size. if you were looking for something else to cut, i’d axe the lipgloss – i think everyone will have their own they can use for a touch up (most every one has a peach/pink/whatever) and it’s not a ‘keepsake’ that they’ll use and think of you and that would save a lot too!

thanks bees! Maybe I will axe the gloss and the setting spray and give them each a 25$ gift card or something?? The gold clutches r so cute they could use them anytime after the wedding! And they are all wearing their own shoes bcuz I didn’t want to make them buy expensive shoes to match so I thought why not get them some flats to dance in at the reception for comfort?
