Did you know the Forever stamps aren’t all that convenient??? Yep!
So yesterday I was home after a very painful procedure on my hip (ongoing injury, driving me bananas), anyway I needed to do some walking so I decided to drop off some invites in the mailbox. My entire side of the family is going to Hawaii in a week and won’t return till 2 weeks before the RSVPs are due, so I figured I’d send them early.
Today (finally off meds) i went to the Post Office to drop off the rest of the invites only to find out that they were over 1oz and need extra postage.
So the ones I needed to get to their destination the quickest, now are getting returned to me god knows when and god knows how damaged.
Total FML moment……
So….. Don’t do what I did!!!! Haha

MrsPiggles: I had brought my daughters thinking they would weigh too much, nope…They were too big. So .70 extra for EACH :(. I knew ahead of time that they would be more, but it was still shocking. I mean I never put extra on birthday cards and they don’t come back..I don’t get it?!

MrsBP: yep! .70 cents over here too….. Thankfully we only had to mail about 20 invitations out of 275. The rest are being handed out through friends and family 🙂

Well, forever stamps aren’t good for any amount of postage, they are just good as a regular stamp forever.
You should always take your invites to get weighed first!

jenilynevette: haha I figured as much…….today…… Thankfully i only screwed up 5 of them. I just hope they get returned soon. The post office said 2 days, I’m hoping that’s true, otherwise I’m going to have to make those all over again.
