I'm 6 weeks out from my wedding. It's winter here and normally I get at least one cold or flu but this year I haven't had anything worse than headaches. I'm so scared I'm going to get sick right before the wedding and have an awful honeymoon.

I think I'm going to try to stay warm and bump up the vitamin C.

Was anyone sick on their wedding day or on honeymoon?

I felt a little nauseous all day, but that was just nerves. I think as long as you are aggressive about washing your hands all the time, you'll be okay.

Lucky me, I just got diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease from wedding stress.  I am sick in the bathroom every time I eat.  So yea, I plan on being sick on the big day.  The saddest part is that I have just accepted it at this point.

Oh No heathaah, I guess I'm lucky there is only a small chance I might be sick, but there is a big chance you will be. I hope you feel better soon and have a fab wedding, only 2 weeks to go!!

I highly recommend Zinc, especially Airborne.  I use that when colds are going around and the vitamins really help in keeping my immune system up.  Zinc has always worked better for me than Vitamin C, but I would recommend both.  And of course hand washing and staying away from crowded areas!

I hope I'm not sick on the wedding day.  I'm eatting very, very light, probably just a protein bar by Special K and some yogurt because my stomach is really easily bothered on a normal basis, and stress makes it ten times worse.

I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about being sick. It's something we're all concerned about but there's only so much you can do to prevent yourself from being sick.

You're on the right track with vitamin C. Make sure you wash your hands frequently and, no matter what, keep them away from your face/eyes/mouth/etc. Also try to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night (give your body time to recover and fight off germs). Exercise also helps boost your immune system as does a healthy balanced diet. I'll be sending healthy vibes your way!

I've been a freak lately about washing my hands and making sure I have my hand sanitizer with me when I go out. I don't get sick often, but when I do, it knocks me down pretty hard. So I'm worried about getting sick these next two weeks. But I've been trying to eat healthy-lots of fruits and veggies-and I'm taking my daily vitamin.

With the crazy weather(it feels like fall), I am worried about allegies/sinus problems too but those I can deal with more easily.

I think that you've got a good plan in place, and I would take everyone else's advice about washing your hands really well too!  Good luck!

DH got food poisoning on our honeymoon =(. So did everybody else it seemed though. Except me.

He shared his cold thing with me last weekend and now I'm worried i'll feel like crap for the wedding we're both in this weekend.

I can't tell if it's allergies or a cold but it's lingering so long i'm afraid it'll turn into an ear infection and i have a headache. Time to give in and see the doc =(.

I was sick several days before the wedding and on the day of the wedding.  My dad held a tissue for me all the way down the aisle but when he left me up there, I forgot to get it back.  So through out the cermony I was trying to strategically sniff hard when there was a lot of noise so it didn't carry through out the chapel.  It turns out everyone thought I was just really emotional.

Here's something to make you all laugh that's maybe TMI - I'm worried about not pooping around the time of my wedding!  I have a tendancy to not be able to poop when I travel or when I'm very nervous - and both will be going on for the wedding!!

Well, we travel A LOT so I can tell you that this happens more often than I'd like...one trip we took, I didn't go for nearly a week - my partner thought it was that I can't go in other countries - you know, how some people can't go in a public place?  He still teases me about that!

@Wildstyle- that's sooo funny, thanks for the laugh. I guess so long as you don't get sick from now pooping it's all good.

Yeah well, it's not like that normally thank goodness!  I think its prob b/c I'm such a foodie and I eat all the new foods when I go places - maybe for the wedding week I'll just make sure I eat lots of bran cereal!
