I've been looking into it. I think if you are having a outdoors wedding or you are marrying someone in the military its necessary. I am doing both lol. I found a website called wed safe it looks promising. I think you can have it cover almost anything. I will let you know as I find out more. Im curious on the subject too.
Hi ladies--I was wondering the same thing!! We are getting married on a cruise, and while I trust completely in Disney--we are sailing in November (which is still hurricane season) so I am starting to think insurance for the wedding/dress might be a good idea....I will let you know if I happen to come across anything-Keep me posted!
We didnt look into it however made sure that there were clauses in all our major vendor clauses regarding hurricanes and allow us to transfer our deposits, monies paid, reservation, etc to another date convenient to all parties.
Hi-
I strongly recommend www.wedsafe.com for wedding insurance. This is what I always recommend to my clients having a wedding or an event. Its better to be safe than sorry. Trust me I know!
Hope this helps ladies!
I'm seriously considering the cancellation/postponement policy at WedSafe. We live in GA and are sometimes affected by hurricanes (wedding in November - still hurricane season), plus GA has some freaky weird weather anyway, and I worry about illness since I just have awesome luck like that! :P
I don't know what I'm hesitating for... I know it would be a good move. But I still can't make myself buy the policy just yet.
My venue requires it, so I'm getting it. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't.
Oh we are definitely getting it. Our date is in December and since there is the chance of a snowstorm I definitely prefer to be safe rather than sorry.
I honestly didn't know that it existed until now! We had an outdoor ceremony but I had a hold on a tent in case it rained. But we didn't need it.
We'll be getting liability insurance from WedSafe - our reception venue requires it.

Hello bees! I just wanted to ask if you think it's necessary to getting wedding insurance? Do you know what it covers or recommendations for companies? Please share your thoughts, concerns, or stories!
