I finally picked a bridesmaid dress. Maybe a little pricey before alterations and with tax 195.00. Is it tacky for me to give them a $25.00 gift card to help with their dress? Or should I take that money and spend it on something more like for their gift ? Everyone said they where ok with the dress, I just feel like I should do this but I don’t want it to look tacky. Thoughts would be great Thanks !

Are you thinking of paying to get their hair and makeup done? My Maid/Matron of Honor and bridesmaids are buying their dress, however, I have offered to pay for their hair and makeup as I know the dresses can get costly.

@Fall2013: I think it would be thoughtful, but you should also cover hair and makeup if you can. I think that if you can’t do both then just cover hair and makeupl

It depends. If money is an issue, (even if I’m “okay with it” I’d rather have the gift card than a larger gift. However, if money isn’t an issue, then it wouldn’t even occur to me that my gift was larger/smaller or anything other than “so sweet of my friend.” 🙂
