Hi all, I am considering buying my guy a Sony Vaio as a wedding present (we are poor graduate students and laptops are our lives!). He is just about to write his thesis and his laptop looks museum worthy!!!Does anyone have access to coupon codes/corporate discounts that could help to ease the pain of this purchase? I would wholeheartedly appreciate it. MANY MANY THANKS!
As a fellow graduate student, I would suggest checking with your university to see if you can get a student discount through the school. I saved myself a few hundred dollars on a MacBook. Also, I know that newegg.com has some good deals on Sony laptops. Lastly, if either of you happen to be AAA members, sometimes AAA has discounts at strange places (I know Dell for sure). Good luck!
Good idea by smkarl to check with the university (your's and his, if you go to different schools -- one might offer a better discount). Also, try pricegrabber.com, it will search several sites and show you which one has the best deal on whatever product you type in. Good luck, I'm sure he will love the gift! :)
