- Wedding: March 2014
So we’re planning our wedding on very short (6 weeks) notice thanks to the Army… And I have no close friends or relatives nearby to help. My FMIL and FSIL live two states away but they have been AMAZING with the planning and so, so helpful- they’re coming in two days early to help set up, they’ve offered to help with costs (we’re good on budget, but just the offer was so sweet) and my FSIL is even cooking dinner for the evening of the wedding. I would probably have torn my hair out by now without them.
i already have a gift for my FMIL that I think she’ll love (an engraved locket that says “thank you for raising the man of my dreams”- she was a single mother for most of my fiance’s childhood and I know she’s so proud of how he’s turned out). But I am stumped on what to get my FSIL. I really like her but living so far apart I don’t have a good sense of her taste in jewelry, and my fiancé hasn’t been helpful in that regard. And I want it to be something really nice, given how wonderfully helpful she’s been during this crazy time.
