Maybe put it in his breast pocket of his jacket? Say something about keeping those we love close to our hearts? I have also seen people have one BM walk down the aisle alone, and have a blank place in between two groomsmen as an “honary place.” I thought that was really sweet.

Maybe ask your FMIL for something of his brothers that he can wear on his wedding day? A watch or something?

If you are doing an honorary place be careful this doesn’t make any of your future family upset. I would ask the family if it would be ok to do that.

Personally I would ask his parents if you could have some of his brothers belongings to put in a decorative box for your fI. Stuff like a favourite toy the brother played with as a child, a photo of the two of them together, a favourite item of clothing etc. I would then give it to your fi the day before the wedding. Giving him something like that on the day of the wedding may make him too emotional and it is a very emotional day anyway so you don’t want him upset. 🙂

By the way, I’ve seen wedding pictures where dearly departed have been photoshopped into the Picture. Imagine you could have his brother looking down from heaven. I’m crying now 🙁

I think the picture ideas is sweet.  I wouldn’t want to do too much because I’d be afraid it’d make him upset.  I know my friend’s fiance’s brother passed and at the end of their wedding they want to release lanterns into the sky for him.  I thought that was a sweet idea.
