How about a framed photo from the wedding or a photo book? The most important part is that it’s personal and accompanied by a heartfelt thank you letter.

Grandbabies.

Okay, okay, maybe not grandbabies. Do they have any hobbies? Do they drink (get them some nice wine)? Do you live away from them – you could get them something local from your area? Or just invite them over for a nice meal. Go all out and cook up a storm and enjoy dinner with them. And a nice heartfelt note too.

A mini photo album if your photographer offers a matching album for parents that smaller. Or a weekend away at a local bed and breakfast. If they are paying for the wedding you guys can afford a gift under $300 for them. Our parents album is $100 dollars per parents.

A bed and breakfast weekend you can get for under $300, your just paying for the room and taxes, make sure they can book the timeframe/weekend they want, kind of like a gift certificate.

I second the mini photo album.  We are getting our parents one.

Maybe try offering to pay for their hotel or upgrading their hotel room.  Write them a note and leave it with a gift basket in their room.  Just remember not to overdo it on something really extravagant as most parents don’t want you spending money on them.

I have had embroidered hankerchiefs made for them with a message from me expressing my thanks and some sweet words and my wedding date. 🙂  Etsy! 🙂

I may try to think of something else as well.. we’ll see.

We’re giving ours electronic frames with a bunch of pictures from the wedding.  We think it’s pretty nifty.

We are going to do photo book and maybe a dinner.  FI and I are paying for 1/3 of the wedding but our mothers have been so helpful and we are still over 10 months out!
