We are making photo albums for our parents with pictures from our engagement photoshoot and we are going to leave space for wedding photos, which we will send them later. We are also planning to write them thoughtful thank you letters.

I am not planning on getting my groom anything…we don’t need to spend any more money at this point! I figure our rings are our gifts to each other. Wink

I am a bride on a budget, so for the moms we are giving them a frame with one of our engagement pictures in it, then writing them a nice letter saying that once we get our pictures back from the wedding, we will sit down with them and let them pick out their favorites and we are going to create an album for them (probably using Shutterfly). I also ordered personalized tote bags for all my bridesmaids and got them for the moms as well, made them hangers with their names on them, flip flops for the reception and for getting ready, and I am in the process of making glittery champagne flutes for all my bridesmaids and the moms.

I told my fiance he was in charge of coming up with something for the dads, but we all know I am going to end up having to do that since he STILL doesn’t know what to get his groomsmen and I am already coming up with that lol

As for my fiance, we just plan on writing each other letters to give to each other the day of the wedding while getting ready. It’s really sweet, costs nothing, and is something we can both hold onto forever. I also might throw together a small album of all my favorite moments with him.

me and Fi aren’t exchanging gifts, it seems silly to spend all this money on a wedding, buy eachother rings and still need a gift. No idea what we will give the parents though.

For his parents, why not a gift certificate to a fabulous local restaurant and a nice bottle of wine or champagne to go with it.

As for your husband-to-be, are you guys going directly to a honeymoon? If so, does he have any hobbies he’ll want to do while on vacation (maybe fishing, or scuba diving, or hiking, or photography, etc.) If so, you could get him something for that.  My husband bought be a new underwater camera, and I bought him a trpoical water spear gun (he’s a big spearfisherman) they aren’t “traditional” gifts, but they were perfect for us.

@FutureMrs86:  I ordered my totes from Zazzle (I did the cheapest ones, and they are so cute!) – this is literally what I ordered:

They’re a little small, but each one cost me $9.95, so no complaints here!

Professional Parents Albums ordered through our photographer will be our gift. I found a pair of stainless cufflinks for my FI with his favorite UK football (soccer) team.  Not really looking to spend much more $$ since we paid for everything ourselves!

I am having a boudoir photo shoot done and putting together a book for my hubby to be! As for the parents, we are giving them a framed engagement photo with the IOU for a wedding album – along with a bottle of nice champagne!

Gifts are as follows:

My Dad: Hanky, cufflinks, and photo album from photographer
My Mum: necklace

FI’s Mum: Hanky, mother/son figurine, and photo album (shared with FI’s Dad)
FI’s Dad: Hanky, and I think FI bought him a divet picker/golf balls (customized)

FI: Hanky, cufflinks.. and ME! ;] Thinking about making him a ‘beer cake’ and a ‘man bouquet’ for after they’re finished golfing the morning of the wedding, though, too.

We’re skipping gifts to each other and just writing letters because we’re already spending a fortune on this wedding. As for the parents, we’re doing the traditional nice frame to put a wedding pic in later and I will most likely make each set a family focused shutterfly book. I did do a little something extra for my dad though, he plays guitar and I found this place on etsy that does customized guitar pics, I got one that says “To remember the day you gave me away” with the wedding date on it that I will give him before he walks me down the aisle. 🙂
