We chose this nice lady who is also our church’s music coordinator to play our wedding music. We were only expecting her to play music. I have heard her sing and she has a beautiful voice, and she agreed to also sing most of the songs instead of just playing them. We had no plans of hiring a vocalist.
We really appreciate that she’ll also sing, so we wanted to get her a nice gift aside from her fee, which I think should be doubled because of her talent 🙂 I’d really appreciate suggestions for gifts. I don’t know much about her, I just see her every Sunday at church but that’s about it. Has any of you done something similar?

Nice Bible? Songbook? I have no clue! It’s so hard to buy gifts for strangers. What about a gift card to a music store? Or tickets for a local music event? Here you can buy a gift card type thing for our Performing Arts Center that allows the recipient to pick out their own concert or event after receiving it.

I like Kate’s idea of tickets to a musical event. What about a gift card to a music supply store or iTunes? I used to sing at weddings and I once received a really nice leather "binder" that I used to put my music in while I was singing.

How about a gift card to a music store — or Barnes & Noble?

we had a similar situation and we gave them (there were 2 ladies) gift certificates to the online music repository they purchase sheet music from (they had mentioned it off-hand in a conversation and I somehow remembered it).
