I am definitely writing him a letter for the day, but I am at a loss at what to get him.  That said, what are you getting your groom?

I have no idea yet, but here's a post from a few months ago that talked about it! Maybe you can find some ideas there!

I'll read the thread, but Mr. KM really wants an Omega watch. They're pricey, but he's worth it Wink

I think we've decided against gifts, since we just bought a new car and our wedding is in March.

I've had several ideas for his gift. First I was going to get him a nice pair of Tiffany's cuff links he could wear and then have to pass doen to our future children one day. Then I heard about Boudoiur photos and I know he would love those. Now I'm debating between one or both or neight. I will also write him a love letter to open the morning of the wedding.

We decided to go minimal on gifts...neither of us thought they were really worth it.  But I contacted an artist on Etsy and had her paint a scene recreating the moment DH and I first met...I remembered what we were wearing, sent her pics of us and a photo of the location, and she painted a watercolor of it.  I gave it to him that morning (we spent the night before together) and he LOVED it.  We're having it matted as we speak =o)

Not sure. Thinking of a Tag watch if I don't get it for him for Christmas. He has insisted on taking care of my "something blue" but refuses to tell me what it might be. I'm excited by the surprise aspect, but slightly worried as it leaves me uneasy not knowing what it will be. I'm secretly hoping it's something with sapphires...he knows I love them and I almost chose a sapphire e-ring...so perhaps...

oh a girl can dream anyway.

moral of my story. I'm unsure.

I am thinking about asking his grandmother for the letters that his grandpa wrote him from war and scrapbook those with the letter that we wrote each other while he was in afghanistan!  I think he'd really enjoy that and I am going to pair it with a love letter and something else, I just don't know what that something else is quite yet.

I am pretty sure I'll be getting him watch. He really wants a nice one, and for years now I've wanted to get him one as a wedding gift - now I just need to figure out what kind! Last I asked, he told me he wanted a Rolex. Nice try mister!

I am stealing an idea I read on here ages ago.  Along with a letter, I am getting him:

    1) Compass Cufflinks so that he can find his way to the ceremony

    2) A new watch so that he can get to the ceremony on time

    3) A pair of socks in case he gets cold feet

    4) Beer for him and his boys-- in case he really gets cold feet!

I feel like I am missing something that was included on the original post, so if anyone remembers it, let me know!
