@AllieBee12:  A diaper bag that he would want to be seen in public with when he is alone with the baby.

@AllieBee12:  I agree with @julies1949: . There’s an adorable tool belt one I’ve seen online and posted here on the Bee before. But that’s maybe a bit pricey? I’d say some red bull, and if you know what kind of music he likes or his favourite band, you can get CDs with lullabies of popular songs by groups like Pearl Jam or U2, etc.

I have this pinned on one of my Pintrest boards and thought it was such a cute idea! Little bags, and each one has a diaper, wipe, changing pad, and hand sanitizing cloth. You could put a onesie in each as well. Great for dad to grab quickly on the go or when it’s the middle of the night and he’s in a rush.

Well, this might be a bit immature and maybe better coming from one man to another, but my brother (who has 3 kids) swears by cigars. Says a man needs to smoke a cigar when his new baby is born so the child will end up having nice legs! lol

I do like the manly-looking diaper bag idea!

Food!

Even though both adults would enjoy it, I think a large casserole or roasted chicken (already butchered into pieces) would be a great dad gift. It may be a bit before they get a nice home-cooked meal.

And even if they are eating gourmet meals everyone night Dad will appreciate not having to cook/clean etc to help get it on the table.
