    Has anyone used facebook app Smart Gifts as a gift registry? It doesn't tie you to certain store and it's free.

    I think Facebook and weddings do not mix.

    Would you happen to be directly linked to this application, John?

    You know, facebook is becoming more and more popular for everything! I don't know how many group invites I get from people (So and so are getting married!) because they need addresses and a way to answer questions/concerns. I don't really see it a big deal but I don't know about the registry thing. Not everyone is on facebook but you could make it an option.

    LOL.  I agree with you.  Facebook and weddings don't mix.

    I agree with Kitty and yrret. I think it takes away the imtimacy of the day. I am not using the app on FB to register. There are lots of people on there that I am not inviting anyway, so that would make it weird too.

    Oh gosh. I couldn't do it. I have like 700 FB friends, and I think I only invited max 15 of them to the wedding!!

    I don't want the whole world having my registry at their finger tips. Also, I go by the rule, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." So, I'm "friends" with some people whose actions I'm not a big fan of... I really don't want them looking at my registry!!

    Oh you have to privacy block those people, FabulouslyEngaged!

    @MissACS: You're amazingly perceptive.  ::winks!::

    I used amazingregistry.com instead.  Then I don't have to worry about people seeing the registry who aren't invited.  I can only imagine yet another FB reorg. where I have to RESET my privacy controls AGAIN and suddenly all these people see a regstry for an event they aren't invited to.

    Disaster. Waiting. To. Happen.
