I am getting married in 12 Days!!! I can't hardly believe it!! I am going crazy and alot of last minute things have come up, like what to get the musicians (who are good friends of mine) as a thank you for playing my wedding for FREE?! Also my boss is doing my makeup (she has a wedding makeup business on the side) what should I get her as a thank you? Things are creeping up faster and faster!! HELP?!
Breathe! You don't necessarily need gifts for these people the day of the wedding. How about taking care of thanking them when you return from the honeymoon. I had travel jewelry pouches with their first initial monogrammed made from an etsy seller and filled them with a necklace, earring set for my reader and program attendant. My friend musician received the same thing, plus a yellow purse I knew she would love.
I agree that if you didn't think of this until just now, you probably shouldn't try to solve it in the next two weeks. People will be just as happy to receive a nice thank you note and gift after the fact. They will also understand that you have just a little on your mind right now. If you can think of a great idea right now, and have time to shop, that's fine. Otherwise, it's actually nice to have a few fun wedding-related tasks after the fact, if only so that you don't spend all your time writing thank you notes!
At this point, I would just go the gift certificate route & buy a card. mani/pedi/restaurants/massages...if they are pro. musicians, maybe get them a GC to their favorite music store.
I know you can't stress yourself out, but I think most people expect their gift BEFORE the wedding. If you wait, I would just say...."I feel really bad, but your gift won't arrive until after the wedding" and then get them something online
