What’s the most expensive item of your wedding registry and how much is it?
We put two $500 items following a guideline I got online but a couple of people have commented on them and now I am kind of embarrassed.
Also, how are you having a wedding shower? Do you feel a little guilty asking for more presents? I do. But I love how pretty showers are…

I haven’t done my registry yet but I don’t think having 2 items that are 500.00 is that big of an issue, depending on the people who will be doing most of the buying. And as long as you have less expensive items you should be ok. All that being said I’m having 3 showers, not my idea but what can I do I have a huge family and lots of showers and big showers are the norm for us! My cousin who was married on Saturday had 4 and no one thought that was weird (the same people didn’t go to all 4)

Our most expensive item was a $400 vacuum. We got it from my mom : ) I don’t think it’s a big issue as long as you have a lot of items in lower price ranges. No one has to buy you anything they don’t want to.

$475 stainless steel cookware from Pampered Chef. I wouldn’t let the comments bug you. Some people hate registries all together and think they are tacky…like my grandma. 🙂

Thanks ladies. We do have a lot of $10 items. I mostly put those things on there to see if we could use the completion discount.

You can always have a theme shower to ease the gift burden and still have prettiness/bonding time.

Our most expensive was our $400 pots and pans (and they were the FIRST thing purchased for us!). I wouldn’t worry about having a couple of expensvie items as long as you have plenty of lesser expensive items to balance it out.
Regarding you shower though, you really shouldn’t be the one worying about it because you can’t really throw yourself a shower. If someone in your family decides they want to host one, they’ll worry about everything. But you can’t really throw yourself a party that is centered around giving you gifts! I wouldn’t worry about feeling bad about people buying you more gifts though – showers are very common and no one is going to think twice about it if someone throws you one.
