There's nothing worse than wondering if a gift made it to its destination, especially when it's been shipped. Beyond that, if you send out thank you notes as the gifts come in, you'll save your self from the overwhelming task of writing them all at once.
For those of you who send thank you notes right away for wedding gifts, do you send another thank you note later on, after the wedding, to thank them for coming to the wedding?
We didn't send another note, peaches. But we did send out Christmas cards with our wedding picture in them to all of our guests and were able to thank everyone then for attending.
Now, and thanks for reminding me - I need to mail one out myself.
I just talked with my mom this weekend who send an extended family member a gift card (for shower) and substantial check (for wedding) about 3 mos ago. The check has not been cashed and no thank you note has arrived for either one yet. She is now worried that they have been stolen. So moral of the stroy, cash checks in a timely fashion and write thank you notes like Emily Post suggests.

Definitely write them as they come in, that is what we are doing.
I figured since Christmas is not to long after the big day and I always send Christmas cards anyway I will send a wedding pic to everyone then.

We started receiving gifts and our wedding is not until this coming July and my shower is not until the end of May.
Do I send the Thank You cards now or after the wedding/shower?
