Well, for my bridesmaids, I got them each their necklaces, a clutch filled with a wedding day survival kit, and then I got each one of them a gift unrelated to the wedding.  I treated it like I was shopping for their birthdays, as to remind them that I didn’t only have wedding on the brain!  Gifts I purchased ranged from earrings I knew one girl wanted, to bluetooth sets, to japanese lanterns, etc. 😛

Some photos I have of the necklaces and clutches:

After seeing this thread, I ordered compact mirrors from Etsy and I’m giving them all this bracelet.

I was originally wanting to do jewelry for everyone that they could wear in the wedding or just to have really, either way…but I felt like it was such a personal choice that I just kept wanting to ask them “would you want this?” “would you want this?” which would kind of ruin the whole thing anyway. since all of my bridesmaids except one live in a different state then me, I’m no longer in tune to their every day desires like I would be if we were shopping together or hanging out regularly…sad

So, I decided to pay for hair and make up the day of the wedding instead of jewelry, which everyone was excited about. That’s not much of a gift though, since it totally benefits me…

So I decided that since everyone lives in different states and the whole group won’t be all together until the days before the wedding, We’re doing a whole spa day with manis/pedis/massage etc just so that we can have a fun relaxing day together. I paid for a bunch of different treatments and hopefully everyone will get to do the things they like 🙂 And hopefully I will be 100% relaxing and enjoying it too, and not freaking out about last minute weddingness.

I wanted to make sure they got something gifty too that wasn’t wedding related so I got them all monthly subscriptions for the beauty sample boxes at birchbox.com. I got myself a subscription too and I love getting little presents every month of different beauty products I’ve been meaning to try lol

Bridesmaids:

Necklace (probably won’t wear again so doesn’t count too much as a gift)
Earrings (same as above)
Bracelet (I can see all of them wearing again)
Robe (I figured it can be worn for us to get ready in and then obviously worn again)
Hand Painted Wine Glass
Bottle of Wine
Tote Bag with their initial embroidered (will put all of their gifts in here)

Groomsmen:

Set of pilsner glasses with their initials etched in them
Handmade bottle opener from a blacksmith with their names engraved
2 really nice cigars
Nice cigar cutter

  Here’s what I’m doing:

  • Tote bag from Thirty One.
  • Gold flip-flops to wear at the reception
  • Necklace (still have to find this).
  • Gold knot earrings from The Limited
  • Personalized insulated tumbler.
  • Cosmetic bag with travel sized Bath and Body Works products, chapstick, Dermalogica skin cleansing cloth, and other day-of necessities
  • Something personalized for each bridesmaid.

They are also getting their hair and make-up mostly paid for, they will just be responsible for tipping. I’m going a little more in-depth because when they got married, I wasn’t in the financial position to do more for them. I would like to do a little more for them now, since I can.

ETA: By personalized item, I mean something that they would enjoy receiving that doesn’t relate to the wedding.

pengoala-Did you get those clutches off of Etsy?  I’ve been looking at those too.  Do you have them already and are they of good quality?  I’m nervous about ordering something from overseas (which is absolutely silly, I know) so I’m interested in hearing your opinion on your purchase.
