We gave the parents framed formal portraits of each nuclear family. Then I got my girls jewelry and he got his boys cufflinks!

I’m looking for ideas as well. My bridsmaids were pretty easy. I am gifting them with their wedding day jewelry and a monogrammed zip up hoodie for getting ready in. The groomsmen and parents have proven to be more difficult. So far for the parents all I have is a picture frame that I will put the engagement photo of their chosing in and an IOU for a wedding pic. But that’s so generic and not really enough. My mom would be easy because she loves any kind of jewelry and we are tossing around the idea of a nice poker set for FI’s dad. But that’s about where the good ideas end. FI doesn’t want any of the “traditional” GM gifts either.

@sparklerunner: My wedding is in October and it can get pretty chilly here in Ohio, so thats what I figured too. I actually bought them from Walmart! They are just the Hanes for Women ones. They have a bunch of colors in stock at the stores but you can also order them online. They were like $10 each, which was the cheapest I was able to find. AND they had white, so I bought one for myself and had my new initials monogrammed on it. A friend of mine has an at home embroidery business so she did them for me.

I am really hoping I can find a struggling artist willing to paint the ceremony for cheap and then give both sets of parents a painting of the ceremony

I’m kind of at a loss for my bridal party as well.  But I was thinking personalized hangers from Etsy.  I want to get them personalized tumblers as well too so we can drink whatever while getting ready the day of and not spill anything on our dresses and perhaps an emergency BM kit.

I’m not sure what I plan to do for their jewelry though. I don’t want to spend too much since we are paying for the wedding ourselves.  A friend of mine does the personalizing of tumblers for reasonable prices and the BM kit I would throw together myself for cheap.  I might make their jewelry myself.  But I know for sure the hangers and tumblers.
