One thing we’re doing for my parents is bringing them to the tasting. It’s not their formal gift, but we thought it would be a nice way to say thank you for everything and have them involved in the decisions of the wedding. We may do a theatre/hotel package for my parents at their favourite out of town place. I haven’t thought about MOG yet…

i’m thinking i’m going to do a gift certificate to a hotel on the coast my parents like… a “thanks so much for helping, you deserve to relax!” thing

I know that a lot of people do a wedding album or portrait as a gift.  I would feel very strange giving someone a picture of myself as a gift (we just aren’t that kind of family), but depending on your parents that might be nice.

We’ll probably do a Bed and Breakfast weekend for hub2be’s parents, a fancy purse for my mom….and I have NO IDEA what I’ll get my Dad (he and my mom are divorced, so a combo gift for them won’t work).
