We gave my parents a gift card to one of their favorite restaurants… and I think we did the same for DH’s parents 🙂

We gave both sets of parents a card promising an album after the wedding.

For Christmas (3.5 months later), we gave each set of parents a photobook from the wedding and a framed picture from the wedding (Dor my parents, it was a picture of them, Dh & I, Bro & SIL, Bro & SIL & 2 daughters…. For Dh’s parents, it was a picture of them and us)

I’ve known couples who do this gift for Christmas after wedding or for gift for the wedding 🙂

We are giving them each a “parents book” of photos – like a mini wedding album and we plan to take them out to a very nice dinner after the wedding!

We are giving each parent a “wedding day survival kit” (we are also gifting similar things to the bridesmaids/groomsmen). And also giving the parents an IOU for a wedding album. Once we have the wedding pictures back we will get them nice hardcover albums. I scored great deals for it on Groupon.

At a recent family wedding, the moms got nice jewelry (from etsy) and the dads got an awesomely expensive pocket knife.
