We were thinking necklaces (perhaps lockets with a baby picture of us/all their children) for our Mums, but no idea for the Dads!

I saw a thing with bottles of wine, where the labels are custom made with letters from the bride to the his parents on one and the groom to her parents on the other.

mrsjordan53014:  Since I’m going out of town the weekend before the wedding to an area with a lot of fantastic wineries, we decided that I would pick up bottles of our favorite wine from our favorite winery.  Luckily all sets of parents are big wine fans so it works out.  We are going to remove the labels and add custom ones with our wedding day info/monogram and then messages to the parents.  I want to get my parents a gift card for a nice date night for helping fund 70% of the wedding – they never go on dates so they definitely need one.  And then, on the morning of the wedding, I am gifting small items and handwritten letters to my mom, dad and sister.   Those hold a little more meaning than just wedding since Mr. S and I are moving out of state a few days after the wedding (for his job) and we are not sure when we will get to move back – we could be gone up to 10 years.

HonoraryNerd:  Ooooo!  We were going to do the wine bottle gifts (just posted above about them) but I hadn’t thought about doing the messages like that.  I like that idea!!  We were thinking about just writing them from both of us – different messages of course, but all from the two of us.  I will have to ask Mr. S what he thinks about that…
