We are giving our mothers necklaces that reflect their own styles and interests. We'll probably give these at the rehearsal dinner. Maybe think about what sorts of things you could do to show your appreciation for their support of your marriage? Do they need a new camera for the big day? (be sure to have someone help them learn how to use it quickly). Gift certificates to a favorite restaurant? Wine? Spa package or an at home spa kit? Some new gadget (GPS, mp3 player with favorite songs, etc)? Tickets to a concert or event? You could also give them a note saying that their gift is an album of your wedding pictures, to be delivered later.
You could also write a heartfelt note to them expressing your appreciation, with or without a gift. I'm sure that's what would mean the most!
How about planning particular pictures with each set and asking your photographer to arrange this in advance-the photographs can then be enlarged and framed as a gift to each set of parents. :)
We were thinking about getting them an album but we don't have any pics yet. We decided just to have wedding pics instead of engagement photos.

What is the etiquette regarding gift-giving for parents and in-laws? Are they required? If so, what are you getting your parents. I only have 1 week to find out what to get them. HELP!!!
