    Hello All.

I'm thinking I should start getting all the wedding party gifts. The MOH and flowergirl are set, but I need to get the parents something and the best man, as well as the ring bearer.

Help me out here: what did you get your people?

I got all my attendants a necklace and earing set from Things Remebered that came in a small jewlery box that was engraved with their monogram, a small horseshoe shaped key ring with their first initial on the heart from the knot, and a car jar and votive in the same scent from Yankee Candle.  For my FGs, I got them a small fake pearl necklace and bracelet set from Oriental Trading that has a small card about how special it was for them to be my fg included in it, and a small heart shaped jewlery box with their first initial on it.  For my Grandmothers I got them both a nice hankie that says grandmother from oriental trading.  Got both my parents a hankie too, and got my mom a small circle diamond necklace from Kay Jewlers to wear the day of the wedding.  I am still unsure of what to get my dad though.

My FI took care of his guys, parents, and RBs so I have no help to offer there.  Sorry!

    Good Luck!!!

my girls i got some makeup & such and am planning on making them a (really simple!) makeup zipper pouch and sewing their initial on it.

for my ring bearer i got a leather wallet.  he's 7 and he uses his daddy's old one.  so i thought that getting him a new one of his own would be neat.  i hope he likes it :)

i wanted to get a dozen hankies and embroider the first initial of all the ladies that i wanted to thank (mob's and such) and give that to them, but my hankie people fell through so now they're just getting corsages. Gifts for the party : wedding Icon Neutral  oh well, they all love flowers :)

and for the men i think frames are a good idea.  got to put that pic of us looking gorgous on our wedding day somewhere, hah :)

good luck :)  and look out for good sales and such.  i got my bm's makeups cheap at a victorias secret 2 for 20 sale.  (which may still be going on in store, im not sure)

For all the ladies -- including the moms and the FGs - I got them purses and makeup bags from Vera Bradleys Outlet Sale.  I was extremely excited with these as they were 70% off when I bought them!  I am having their first initial embroidered on the bags.  My sister is going to make them flip flops for the wedding and I will buy them some earrings from this cute store in Savannah.

For the men - I am leaving that up to my fiance.  I was thinking a nice engraved bar set would be cool for the dads ... but that is where I still need some inspiration!

For my girls, I got them jewelry (earrings and necklace, designed by a former local designer, now residing elsewhere), comfy but cute slippers they could wear post-ceremony at the outdoor reception (heels are no fun in grass) and paid for their hair/makeup and mani-pedis. I also got my MOH an extra gift -- a cute bag (also by a local designer), which she ended up using all week.

For the guys, my hubs bought them all watches, but not the same ones (they were different Swatch watches...he has a thing about Swatches). They were all chosen to "match" the individual guys' personalities and styles.

We got the ushers, my brother and my dad their ties for the wedding. We didn't get parent gifts, 'cause our parents never want anything!  Oh, and my brother's GF was a huge help to us, so we got her a gift card that's good at most of the major malls here.

I think something that's helpful to remember (it was a big help for my guy) is that you DON'T have to give everyone the same thing. Sometimes it's better to get things that are different that are more reflective of each person.

I think your parents don't really need or expect a gift. They will only remember your big day not a small gift and personally, I don't think it's really necessary, especially if they are footing the bill. How about just a heart felt beautifully designed thank you note? Like a top Wedding Bee DIY style thank you note. I think they would appreciate that a lot more.

I got my BM's wristlets from August Lately, to match their dresses but they also are casual enough for everyday use.  And I got them a pair of earrings.  My FG's are getting a pearl bracelet.  My mother is getting a bracelet, my stepfather and father a personalized pocketwatch.  The guys are getting watches and we might also get them a pilsner glass from Lolita love Martinis - they are personal and cute!  For is mother we are getting her some soaps and lotions from Elizabeth W - she loves lilac which is hard to find, and I am making her a scrapbook online at Picaboo of just my FH growing up until now.

I plan on getting all of the BMs Henry Bendell candles.  They are my absolute favorite, and usually once or twice a year they go on sale for $10 at Bath and Body Works, so I am keeping my eye out.

I am not sure what else I am going to get them though...

I think the leather wallet for the ring bear is a cute idea, and I might steal the idea for my nephew.  He'll be 8 at the time of the wedding and he is the "junior best man."  He loves having a wallet with stuff in it and I bet he'd love having a nice one, maybe even get it personalized with his name.
