Our budget is tight, so we were wondering, who do we HAVE to get a gift for?!

I think you have to get something for each person in your wedding party, without question. I'd also get a present for anyone who helped with decorations, planning, or paying for the wedding (which probably includes parents).

Keep in mind though, a gift doesn't have to mean tons of cash.   My parents will be getting a framed photo and a sweet note - it will mean more to them and save us $$$.

We got gifts for our officiant, our parents, and our wedding party. And, no, they don't have to mean a lot of money. I'm sure people would even appreciate home-baked cookies as a thank you or a bottle of wine! I know I would.

We were tight too, so only gave gifts to the BP. But we do plan on giving a framed picture from the wedding to our parents to thank my in-laws for the RD & to thank my parents for setting up everything the day of the wedding.

We are getting gifts for our wedding party and I'm getting a few extra things for the kids that are attending the wedding (brothers, neices).  I thought we should get a gift for FH's parents, since they're hosting the rehearsal dinner.  We are hosting the wedding, though.  I didn't plan on getting gifts for anyone else, including my parents, but thought I'd put together a photobook for them for a very belated xmas gift for them when we get our photoproofs back.  Enough?

My FI and I are only giving gifts to our parents and the people in our wedding party. We are also on a tight budget, but The Knot and Wedding Channel online stores, have very good deals for wedding party gifts.
