My fiance and I got creative… we found a course offered at the local college that taught us to make love seats out of wood. They turned out fantastic and we made one for each! Check your local community colleges they have lots of cool stuff you can learn to make.

Ours wasn’t particularly creative, but we gave them a framed engagement picture. Our parents would have been upset if we had given them something expensive, so this was an economical way for us to give them something meaningful.

We were going to get them something….But after talking to alot of people…we were talked out of it.  I ask my stepmom a ton of questions that you probably are not supposed to ask a parent about wedding stuff and I asked her what they got their parents for a wedding gift.  She was shocked and said she had never heard of that before and you don’t need to get the parents anything.
