- Wedding: July 2014
So the wedding is only 60 days out now and I’m trying to finalize gifts for my family. At the rehearsal dinner, when we give gifts to the wedding party, we are giving our parents (3 sets since Mr. S’s parents are divorced and remarried) bottles of our favorite wine and I’m going to make custom labels – all of our parents are big wine drinkers so this suits everyone and is personal. On the backs, Mr. S will write a message to my parents for their bottle, and I will write a message to his on their bottles. My parents are also getting a gift card for a nice dinner out since they never get date nights and they’re footing 2/3 of the wedding costs.
I’m doing small gifts to my dad, mom and sister the morning of the wedding with personal notes since I’m moving nearly 2500 miles away 4 days later. My mom and sister are each getting bracelets with the following messages engraved inside:
Sister: “Time and distance mean nothing between sisters, we are always in each other’s hearts.”
Mom: “Mothers and daughters never truly part; maybe in distance, but never in heart.”
My dad is a guitar player and I found a place to get engraved copper guitar picks and this is where I’m stumped. I was going to get 2 of them and was thinking “Never far apart” for one. My dad and I joke about hashtags ALL THE TIME (ever since I showed him the Jimmy Fallon/Justin Timberlake hashtag clip) so I’m trying to come up with something other than just #fatherdaughter. Ideas?
ETA: I’ve contacted the company to find out if there’s a character limit for a single line. I know there’s a max of 40 for the pick, but not sure the line max.
