I always find the gifts that poeple get their party interesting. And honestly, I’m kind of cheap so I’m curious how much people spent.
Let’s share the wedding party gifts that bought/will buy with the hive :).

I am still SO clueless about what to get my girls! I’m thinking they’re each going to get a brooch or some sort of cool hair clip and jewelry, but other than that, I don’t know what else!! I love reading these posts too!
Oh, and they might also get wristlets. It’s easy to find little black ones and they’ll match their LBDs!

Pandora has really cute charm bracelets that I’m thinking about getting my girls starter kits for….the bracelet itself and then a charm for them to start them off (like a sisters charm or something since they are my sisters and future SIL).

the best gift I’ve seen, and what I want to do, is tshirts. and I’m not talking tshirts that say “Jane and Ricky, January 21, 2010” with a big heart. I’m talking sassy screen printed tees picked individually for the person. One of the bees did it recently… let me see if I can drum up the article.

I am at a lost too at what to get everyone especially on a tight budget. Here is my “to get” list:
- 4 bridesmaids
- 1 reader
- 1 singer
- 2 rehearsal dinner hostess

Nice ties and $50 towards their tuxes (we picked out very nice ones…). Also told them “any black shoes/socks work” so they saved the $15 on rental shoes. We got the groomswoman (his sister) a very nice champagne/black/brown pearl necklace that matched the dresses.
Bridesmaid dresses (mom made them–if you’re dying to know their ‘real’ cost, PM me), hair, bracelet, earrings, and a fun feather and flower hair clip everyone wore the day of. They also had a free-for-all regarding shoes, but they all did end up buying some lol.
Edit: we ended up spending, total, around $1000 for everyone…..12 people by the way.

We made a lot of things…
Bridesmaids: embroidered totes, about $20 each, wine charms, I made them but they came out about $14 per set, clutch and mirror from etsy, about $13 each, body scrub, I made it but prob. $3 per jar, and flip flops, $2 each – Old Navy baby! So I guess that is just over $50 per girl, plus I got them each a greeting card so maybe 3 bucks more. 7 bridesmaids. Plus I’m paying for their hair on the day of, and I paid $400 for a hotel room when they all came to visit me for the bachelorette weekend. That last one was probably a mistake but hopefully they appreciate it.
GM: homemade beer, we brewed it ourselves but maybe $2 per bottle x 2 bottles each. It is hard to make though 🙂 Carrying bag for the beer (it is actually made for wine bottles but we brewed into bigger bottles) $.99 each. Bottle openers, $3 each. Pair of glasses which we etched with the guy’s last name, each glass was about $1. Wow, we made out pretty cheap for the guys – under 10 bucks! Lots of work though! 🙂 also 7 groomsmen.

We did spafinder.com gift cards for the girls ($100/BM and $200 for the MOH) and tickets to an NFL game for the guys. They are all even Ravens or Eagles fans so my husband will go to the Ravens game with some of the guys and the Eagles game with the others. He also got the Best Man a personalized bobble-head.
These gifts weren’t cheap at all, I think we spent $1800 in total. I figured they were each spending 100-140 on a dress/tux (I let them pick their own dresses but specified color so I don’t know how much they cost) and half of them had to spend 2 nights in a hotel for the wedding b/c it was far from where we live.

My grandma will be making the BM’s dresses so I will be covering the cost of their dresses (fabric & all the little stuff). I’m also thinking about getting them a cute tote and putting one of those towel wraps inside (the kind a bunch of sororities do). They can wear these while getting hair/makeup done. And then I’ll throw in some flip flops they can wear at the ceremony and some hair pieces (a different one for each girl, like Miss Apple Cider, I believe). Not sure if that will be it.
For the groomsmen I think we’re going to buy them shoes like Vans or Converse (like Mrs. Espresso’s guys!) and then some fun socks.
The two flower girls will probably get a Build-A-Bear with a fancy dress on and a tote filled with games and toys to keep them happy! 🙂

Here’s what I got for my girls (1 MOH and 3 BM’s) including shipping costs:
– Each got a handmade clutch from Etsy vendor Charm Design: $30/ea = $120
– Each got a shawl from Classy Wedding: $20/ea = $80
– Paid for hair on Wedding Morning: $35+tip/ea = $180
MOH: Set of bud vases from Anna’s Pots: $47; Sephora gift card: $25
BM1: Personalized stationery from Silhouette Blue: $30; Temple Balm to help her sleep (she’s an insomniac) from Erzulie Cosmetics: $5
BM2: Personalized address stamp from LoveToCreateStamps: $22.50; Her favorite facial cream: $10
BM3: Blue bead necklace with Yellow dahlia from RachelleD: $25; Under-eye Depuffer from Erzulie Cosmetics: $5
Grand total of: $549.50
This might seem like a lot, but I didn’t have a wedding planner or coordinator. My BM’s bought $250 dresses and helped me set EVERYTHING up, most of which was DIY. Plus this was one of the most important things to me in wedding budgeting. We saved in places like photography and catering, and I felt very good about getting them gifts they would really enjoy. Everyone loved the shawls and bags!! Everything else, too, but those in particular were a hit.
My husband paid for all the Groomsmen and Best Man’s tuxes and accessories. This cost about $450.

6 BMs. I got each of them a custom hanger from LilaFrances on Etsy ($15 each) wedding earrings from Forever 21 (serious, I found them the day before the wedding! $6 each) Paid for their hair to be done (about $50 each) and got them Blurb Books with photos of our friendship from start to my shower ($30 each) and a small bottle of pomegranite vodka just for fun to throw in there ($3 each). Total, about $100 per girl, but I started buying the stuff early so it didnt seem like a lot at the time. Yikes..

I got them really cute earrings to wear the day of and I made sure they can wear them again. Then I got them little personalized jewelry boxes from Things Remembered. I think I spent $75 per girl, which may sound like a lot but considering all of the work, time, and money of their own they put into the shower, bachelorette party, it wasn’t too much to spend in my opinion.

Oh, I forgot about the kids. I got each Flower girl a musical jewlery box with their name on it and I put a bracelet inside which had their initial on it. I got the same jewlery box for my JrBM but she got a necklace instead of a bracelet. I got our ring bearer an Eagles jersey.
