Sorry, had to remove the invite codes... we've had a spate of recent posts promoting Gilt and private sale sites with personal invite codes.
But anyone should be able to join Gilt without an invite code at this point!
Hmmm...is it bad that hive members are giving out their personal invite codes? What is wrong with that? I mean a ton of bees did it before.
No, I think what Mr. Bee means is that there's a potential for spam and scamming and so, just as a precaution, invite codes shouldn't really be posted.
Oh yeh, I guess that's a possibility if you hyperlink it to a word or something. If I ever put a link in, I make sure the URL shows though.
I'm sure the original poster had good intent but really, you can never be too careful!
Ah sorry, all I meant was that since people get monetary credits when people buy stuff off their Gilt invite links... we've been seeing more and more posts about it.
In the beginning we allowed the invite codes, b/c you couldn't join some of these sites without 'em. But now, all the major private sale sites let you request a membership and then immediately sign you up. So it seems less necessary now...
