my friend used giovanni for her wedding last june. from what i noticed, he was pretty traditional. it could be because that is what SHE wanted but the pics came out good, but werent as modern and edgy as rickys pictures usually are. my other friends have used ricky and their pics were less traditional that i noticed giovannis were. i would maybe let giovanni know what you are looking for and ask him to coordinate with you so that you can get shots that you definitely want to have :) i am not using either of them, actually, but i definitely have been to several weddings where they have been photographing.

Thanks so much for your input!! That is so helpful. I realized after I booked Giovanni that he is definately more traditional.. Not a bad thing at all just different than what I had originally wanted. I think I am at a crossroads because I want a blend of both Ricky and Giovanni.. The only thing i cannot stand about Ricky, and he is an amazing photographer, is than no one is ever smiling or looking happy in most of his pics!! Everyone poses sooooooooo serious-- its a wedding - people should be happy! Oh well, thanks again for your input and good luck with who you chose, do you mind sharing?? Thanks!!
i actually went with a jersey photographer because he was highly recommended and once i saw his work, i realized that he does do modern-pics but def fun candids as well. ill PM you the info :) good luck!

Has anyone heard of or used this photog? I booked him in December for my August wedding and would love feedback from some other local brides. His albums were breathtaking but he seems a little flighty. I really really loved Ricky Restiano but he was unavailable and I am really hoping this guy (Giovanni) can come close to matching the drama of Ricky's work. Eek!
