Anybody else jump up and down with glee to see a girl scout cookie order form sitting around at work today?

I just ordered 6 boxes.....4 thin mints, 1 lemon chalet, and 1 box of samoa.

After all, I'm watching what I eat Wink

I like thin mints after they've been in the freezer....mmmmm

we bought a bunch too!!! We were thinking to save them for the dessert buffet at the wedding....I would think they should still be good especially if they remain sealed and we freeze them.

I've never had a Girl Scout cookie, just Brownie and Girl Guide cookies. I used to like them, but I haven't seen anyone selling them in a long time.

@realestcoaster: At least in the US, Brownie's are Girl Scouts (just younger) and they all sell the same cookies :)

I love the thin mints, but think that Keebler Grasshoppers taste exactly the same and are available all year.  Delicious from the freezer. Yum

OMG I could eat a whole box of samoas (how do you spell that? the caramel and coconut ones!) in a sitting if I let myself, and the cookie and peanut butter ones covered in chocolate.....

yummy... I'll have to bug J to find out if any of his students are scouts!

Girl Scout cookies are probably one of the things I miss the absolute MOST about the States. Why oh why can't Canadian Girl Guides sell the same cookies????

Oh Thin Mints how I loved you....

Didn't even realize it was that time already. No one at work has a girl scout, but they are usually in front of every store in the whole city, so I'm sure they'll be popping up in no time. Love me some thin mints (in the freezer, of course)!

    Freakin' addicting.

Usually I just order from the first person at work and then I buy MORE at Walmart when the scouts are out selling.

    I can't RESIST!

My husband sent me a text message the other day...it was a picture of an order form!  I squealed with excitement.  We are thinking 20 boxes...in all honesty.  But the excuse is "what if I crave them during pregnancy?"  (although I am not pregnant yet!)

I have not been offered any GS cookies yet!!  I miss the days when my little sister and younger cousins were all scouts and, to be fair of course, I had to buy a box from each of them...

    SAMOAS!

Did you know that in a portion of the country, Samoas are also known as Caramel DeLites and are made differently? BOOOO, I have to drive home to get real ones.

I used to think when I was in girl scouts that Samoas were totally meant for me. I was samoan and my dad was a firefighter... and the girl on the box was in a firestation! WOO! Lol.

Swiss Miss - I just checked and you can go to a website: http://www.girlscoutcookies.org/

Enter your email, phone or both and someone from your local GS will contact you to get your order.

Girl Scout cookie time always depresses me a little. I always give up sweets for Lent and that's when they ALWAYS come in so I have to wait until after Easter to have one. :(

I do buy a lot though.  Then I have to hide them from myself.

Does anyone remember when they sold Kookabura's?  It was a crispy rice, chocolate/caramel cookie combo. They sold them back in the 80's.  I miss those with a passion.

    You betcha!

I couldn't decide between the carmel delights (or as most call them samoas), peanut butter patties, peanut butter sandwiches, or thin mints.....so I ordered a couple of each. 0:-)

(I justify it by telling myself they only sell them once a year!)
