I liked it. I feel like it did a really good job representing the books.

I loved the movie, but that’s because I read the book and loved that too. It’s a bit dark and twisted at some points, but it’s a great story!

I read the book (and the sequels… twice) and watched the Swedish version a bit ago. When the American/British version came out, I saw it twice in the theater. Definitely creepy, but that’s the point. I found the books absolutely compelling. I could not stop reading them (both times through).

Loved the movie! But then again I’m totally into the more twisted, disturbing stuff.  I even warned Darling Husband that there may be some really sick scenes… He was still surprised.  I also read the books and loved them so I was really glad how the movie was close to the books.  Can’t wait for the rest of the movies!

I thought the movie was really good but I’m sure they changed the ending….didn’t harriet vanger get found in Australia in the book…on some farm..and it was her cousin who was in London??

Darling Husband and I watched it this weekend. the scenes between Lisbeth and her guardian/estate manager guy were…. oh man. I couldn’t even really watch the whole thing.

Overall though, I thought it was good.

AND… I love Daniel Craig. *drool*

I loved the books and have seen all three original movie and really loved them.

I cannot wait to see the new one. I think I missed it in theaters, but it is definitely on my must see list.

@ticatica:  Yes, the ending was changed.  I kind of liked the movie’s ending a little better, the book’s dragged on a bit.

While I haven’t read the books yet, I really want to (especially after seeing the movie).

My understanding is that the books are also dark and somewhat disturbing so it made total sense that the movie was too.

I really liked the movie and I will be reading the books.  My dad and step mom told me about it and said I should watch the Swedish movies too.

I didn’t really like the American version, to be honest.  Daniel Craig is just too cute to be Blomkvist, I really preferred Noomi Rapace as Salander. and I didn’t feel like the American movie was as authentic to the book.  The Swedish movies of the The Girl… series are soooooooooooo much better.

Having said that, Daniel Criag really is cute!  🙂
