    Just saw this article on Budget Travel about their Top 10 Favorite Girlfriend Getaways.

    Thought it might be helpful to those of you planning Bachelorette Getaways!

    In their order:

    • Sedona, Arizona (2hr drive from Phoenix)
    • Sonoma Wine Country (a more budget version of Napa)
    • Charleston, SC
    • Las Vegas, NV!
    • San Diego to Big Sur to Monterey to San Francisco via a drive through Redwood Forest.
    • Savannah, GA
    • Grand Canyon
    • Santa Monica
    • Los Angeles
    • camping in New Hampshire
    • Boulder, Colorado

    What would you add to the list as a great girlfriend/bachelorette weekend getaway within the US?

    @Gerbera: 1 night in an NYC club followed by a wine tasting/beach weekend on Long Island.

    We're doing a weekend on Cape Cod; there's plenty of beach, awesome activities, and a winery nearby...not to mention plenty of space and time for girl talk!

    We rented a few cottages to stay in; my MOH is kind of amazing and got a super super super good deal.

    @KatNYC2011:

    Oh, great idea! Esp for the NY'ers.

    @BunnyBrideToBe:

    Cape Cod sounds wonderful.

    @KatNYC2011: That's exactly what we did for my bachelorette party! :) It was very fun.

    I would also add a ski weekend, if you have a winter wedding/bachelorette party and you/your friends are into it--if you're in  the Northeast, there are tons of mountains, and out west as well! If our wedding had been in the spring, I would have loved to do a ski weekend the winter before.
