Here is a photo of mine. We haven't ordered the band yet.

I don't have a halo ring, but I have a very low bezel set solitaire so I understand about the gap. I stumbled on this ring on overstock.com and fell in love :) Together it's a little bulky - but I like the look.
I got a halo with a raised "halo" ... there is a gap between the halo and my finger that the wedding band sits in. The raised part did catch on things from time to time before I added the band (the top part of the halo still catches when I put my hand in my pocket sometimes).

Sorry for the crap picture...just took it with my phone. I have the gap with my halo engagement and eternity band. The band itself is a little big so it lays a little funny as well. I think eventually I'll get my halo raised so it does lay flush but for now I have gotten used to the gap and really don't mind it. Hope this helps!
@Ms Mini: Does your halo lay flat where the setting connects to the band..is that how a plain band fits? Or does your band have that little dip it in?
I'm also looking for a halo band..having a hard time!
@mrs.peters.to.be: I am not sure I totally understand what you are asking ... so feel free to correct me if my answer doesn't fit ... my e-ring comes up to the halo setting, so the halo itself is raised above the band, and when you look from the side there is a gap between my halo and finger ... therefore any straight band with ~2mm height would sit underneath the halo. When I wear my band alone (at work) it is perfectly straight ... here is a pic of the bands alone.

Here is the pictures of my engagement ring:

And I'll be getting an insert that goes almost perfectly with my ring. I haven't taken a picture of them together yet, but I love having a band on each side. I like symmetry, haha. Here's a picture:

I have a bit of a dip in my wedding band. We had it custom made and it ended up being a lot cheaper than what the jewelry stores were offering. It isn't completely flush and I like that about it. It's also not so dramatic that I can't wear the band on its own.

Sorry that picture is huge. I got a custom band made for my ring because I didn't like the one that actually went with it.
@martysgal: I have a ring that is somewhat similar to yours. We're going custom for our band as well. Did you have the same jeweler where you purchased your e-ring make your wedding band? Had you tried on any other bands to test for fit first?
Out of convenience, I would love to find a ready made band... but with the milgrain and etching along the side of mine I'm not thinking we'd have much luck!

@yllom10 i have an enhancer band also! You don't see them too often but i love mine!
My halo is pretty high. The two were not sold as a set, but they came from the same jeweler. I did try it with a dipped band, but didn't like the way it look if I wore it alone and I wanted that option. Here is the pic of the two, and one of the side of me ering so you can see how high the halo is.

@forforever
Yes, we went through the same jeweler to have the band made.
I tried on the wedding band that was supposed to come with it and didn't like it so we looked around at some other places to see if there was anything else out there that would match it and fit what I imagined in my head that it would look like. We didn't have any luck so we went back to the jeweler to see if they could do a custom band. They could, but it was a little nerve wrecking to know that I wouldn't be able to see the band before hand and was pretty much stuck with it once it was made. Thankfully it worked out really well!
Here's what I'm going with. (The rings are in the wrong order in the picture because the picture is me trying on the sample band, which was way too big. That's the only way I could get them to lay somewhat flat together.)
We just picked mine out today! I went with an insert that wraps around my ring...sorry for the bad iphone picture!

I went with a mismatched pair and couldn't be happier!!
I have a gap between my rings and I've accepted it. I'm not married yet but I wored both rings for a few days to "practice" and the gaps didnt bug me at all. And it was 1/3 the price of a custom band.
Only thing is, I'm not sure I can wear just the wedding band without the curve looking funny.
I love them all, very unique, and I think it looks good whether its flushed or not. I am also going to be getting (waiting to be proposed to....ahhh the suspense is killing me!) a halo setting and am not sure what kind of band I would want. I want to be able to weat the band alone as well. Keep those pics coming!
I really didn't want a gap and had a hard time finding a matching band that I liked so we went the custom route. Here is mine (oval 2 carat) with the wedding bands made to sit flush. Can't wait to wear my bands!
@Treejewel19: Ooo I've never seen your ring before - it's gorgeous!
@MademoiselleL: Thanks! I am so in love. After searching for months for something we ended up going the custom route. I didn't want something that was identical to what my friend's had, but the halo/vintage look is so lovely. I chose an oval diamond to be a little different and the two wedding bands were made at the same time as the ring to ensure a perfect fit.
Now I have to be patient for a whole year until I can wear the whole set.

My halo sits pretty high (it's a round diamond w/ a cushion cut halo)... so I went with a wavy diamond band. There is a little bit of a gap, which I always thought I'd hate, but this ring looks like it was MADE for my e-ring!! Love, love, love it! It also looks great on its own. :)

The matching band for my ring creates a very tiny gap, which isn't noticeable but I like because it creates a teeny bit of separation between the two rings so that they can each stand on their own, but still work as a cohesive set.
@erin.leigh: omg! i have this ring!! :) is your band also from tacori? if so...what's the style number? thanks!
@rb: where did you get your band? I'm looking for something similar!
My wedding band has a groove in it and sits under the halo of the engagement ring if that makes sense. You can kind of see the groove here:

I was waiting for the day that I could post on this topic! I just went and found a perfect enhancer band to go with my halo. My halo was also custom made and I was getting so frustrated looking for bands to match! I was almost ready to have a custom one made, but I loved the look of one on each side (fiancee wasn't ready to pay for TWO custom bands). So glad I ended up finding these at Kay Jeweler's, they were a steal at under $1k! Good luck to all the rest of the halo girls out there struggling to find a band to compliment your oh-so-unique ring! :) Love my halo!

My halo ring has a gap with any wedding band out there, so i decided to go the non matching route and accept my gap...
did any of you have a similar situation with your halo rings?? pics would be great!
