@EMCasey:  I don’t particularly like that shade of blue with gold – it would go better with a white or silver dress.

If you want blue I would be leaning towards peacock blue, royal blue, a rich navy, turquoise or teal.

I think blue is a good color to go with it. I might pick a darker blue though, but that is just my preference.

My dress was Maggie Sottero’s Light Gold (which is really an antique white), and my BMs also wore blue! My MOH wore aqua, and my BM wore navy.

I thought the cool tones of their dresses made the warm tones of my dress stand out even more!

Altho I ended up with an Ivory Dress for my Elopement…

My original idea was to go with Champagne or Gold…

PHOTO # 1 – Champagne – Lisette by Rivini

PHOTO # 2 – Gold

I Eloped, so we didn’t have any Bridal Party… but as it was a Beach Wedding the Colour Palette definitely included some sandy tones as well as a good variety of Blues & Greens…

Photo # 3 – Colour Scheme & Theme

My chosen Theme was Surf & Shore

And the Colour Palette was Sea & Sand

Great colours…

Hope this helps,

My dress is gold with ivory lace overlay, and my bridesmaids will be wearing eggplant. I find that deep jewel tones are more universally flattering and go nicely with the warmth of the gold dress, but as shown in the photos above, pastels can also look amazing! So choose the colors that you and your girls love, and you’ll all look gorgeous 🙂
