I really need help making up my mind. I'm getting married next March at City Hall, so I want a short white cocktail dress that will transition well to our evening reception that same night.
It's really wrinkled because I threw it on as soon as it got delivered, and yes I'm in the bathroom at work :)
Is it too casual? I tired on this virtually identical dress http://www.corenmoore.com/collections/styles/details/maggie.html which comes in an ivory silk shantung, but I'd need to have it altered.
I'll be wearing a birdcage veil and possibly a bolero as well.
Oh I think it is perfect!!! very flattering on you and very cute and simple... but still bridal-y!
I think the pattern on the material makes up for any thoughts of 'too casual.'
I think it looks very cute yet sophisticated.
I love the neckline, I think it'll be perfect once you get the accessories together.
love it! how are you doing your hair? i'm always intrigued by other short haired gals' styles :-)
@bellamargot Well, the haircut I've had for a while is about an inch long, so I won't be doing much! :) (it looks longer in the picture because I'm due for a haircut)
@chicagobride Yes, it is! Someone on here recommended it to me, so I snapped it up, as it was in the 'Sale' section.
Very adorable! Love your idea about the birdcage veil. No bolero needed. :)
Totally adorable and it sounds perfect for your wedding.
I think it's adorable. I love the neckline. (Or chestline? Whatever the f that's called with a strapless).
@fiftyfootbride- ha for the strapless neckline/chestline dilemma!
I think it's super cute, plus it gives you alot of wiggle room for accessories!
love the neckline. Nix the bolero. Yes on the birdcage. And the dress is lovely :D
PS: yes to BOTH bolero and birdcage. take off the bolero when you reach whatever indoor destination you might be going to after the ceremony. (bare arms on you is gorgeous -- you look fab! -- but i'm pretty sure you'd feel uncomfortable being so uncovered in City Hall.)
I think it's a very fitting dress for City Hall. I think you found your dress :)
I love it! I'm going the short dress route as well but need to start shopping. And another thumbs up for a birdcage veil.
Very pretty dress! I agree with Miss Yap...no bolero! But the birdcage would be gorgeous! And maybe a beautiful necklace piece...very vintage!
I love it. So cute. Only thing is watch the bottom? Maybe need some sort of slip or maybe that's just the lighting looks a little more see through-y than the top. But it is perfect just casual enough for City Hall & elegant enough to make you feel like a princess!
I really like this dress and I think with some accessories, it is perfect for a city hall wedding! Congrats on finding your dress :)
Well, I'm glad you guys liked it, but it turns out the more I looked at it in the mirror, I really hate it from the back. (it makes my ass look way bigger than it is)
I think I'm going to be ordering this instead:

Here's someone else's picture that I found online:
I think the cut looks amazing on you, as long as you stay with that style (and it looks like you are) then I think you'll look awesome on your wedding day!
