- Wedding: September 2013
My wedding is in 9 days, and I think I’ve hit my limit on the DIY projects I’m willing to finish. I was planning on putting together simple centerpieces for four cocktail hour tables — baby’s breath in gold glitter vases a la Miss Gondola’s tutorial. I almost completely spaced on placing the baby’s breath order from Costco. I got that in on Tuesday, and thankfully my desired delivery date was still available! Now today as I was making my shopping list for the craft store so I could spend my weekend glittering up a storm, I suddenly decided to search for plastic julep cups and placed an order within a half hour. (I normally deliberate for ages before committing to anything.) I couldn’t bear to spend so $30+ on expedited shipping, so I’m crossing my fingers that they arrive by next Friday! If not, I’m only out $20 but still have to run around last minute finding vases that I won’t have time to decorate. Fortunately Afloral seems to have a reputation for quick shipping, although I just missed the 12pm deadline so my julep cups won’t ship until Monday.
I still have to make pew cones, finish decorating our ceremony arch, and maybe make bridesmaid hangers in the next week, not to mention keeping everyone apprised of our wedding day packet/schedule.
Was anyone else too ambitious in their DIY plans right before her wedding? Or maybe just procrastinated a little too long like me?
