We recently got our photo album from the photographer (I love it, she did such an amazing job!), however doing more books through her would be very expensive so we were thinking about printing albums for our parents through Picaboo.com, which would be more between 20 – 35 dollars a book. My husband had the idea that we should give the books to all of our family members for the holidays. I think it works for parents and our grandmas, but I’m not sure if our siblings and friends would think it’s a bit self absorbed.
What do you think? Would you give photo albums as gifts for the holidays?

I would give it to parents and grandparents. I highly doubt any of our siblings would have cared for our wedding album. I also would make it part of a gift and give a little something else as well.

To close family, sure.. but use it as an accompaniement to another gift. I think a wedding album as a gift to parents can be done and should be done without a holiday attached. So in my opinion yes, but not if it’s the only gift!

I doubt anyone other than parents and grandparents would really want your wedding album. I also think it’s pretty traditional to give an album to parents, so I wouldn’t actually consider that a holiday gift.

I gave wedding photos and albums as gifts to both sets of parents last year, so I voted yes.

It coud work for the parents but I really wouldn’t go farther than that.

Yeah, sounds like I just got some verification on what I already knew. Thanks ladies for the comments.

In addition to another gift, but technically no.

Nope, I’m always happy to have pictures of the poeople I love, but wWhen they give it to me as a gift..well, there’s just no response to that.

I think your grandparents would like the album too.

I think parents and grandparents would love it, but if my brother or one of my friends gave me their wedding album as a Christmas present, I would just roll my eyes!

wedding album as a gift? Uhm…. no. Sorry,
I’d give out gift cards rather than spend money on albums that will collect dust on a closet shelf. I would give them to your parents and grandparents and possibly future children.

Yeah I don’t think so. It does seem a little self absorbed.

Oh no, not as a gift. Give it to them just ‘cos… they’d like it but as a gift it’s weird and self-absorbed IMO.
