So I just got back from a nice walk outside and had the pleasure if witnessing the Sun come out and Light up my sparkler. It’s funny cause I got my ering dead in the middle of winter so I haven’t spent much time outside with it. (Kicking myself for not having my phone on me to snap a pic!)
My moment today really made me appreciate that we focused so much on the color, cut, and clarity of my diamond.. It’s funny cause its a cushion modified brilliant and after we picked it out I really started seeing more online controversy regarding the cut – naturally it has cause some doubt and anxiety. Mind you – when we selected my diamond the jeweler did let us compare it side by side to other rocks, even outside in natural light. I remember we ended up picking my rock because of the sparkle factor – it was as expensive as some of ther larger rocks but this one just looked better side by side. Anyway – when we bought it we were kinda rushing it so of course I kept second guessing it..
I also am on cloud 9 cause I went to my jeweler to have it cleaned and inspected yesterday and after he was finished examining it under the scope he raved over what a fan of my diamond he was!! Seriously happy about this!
Anyway- aside from being super giddy over my diamonds little sun dance performance, I just wanted to throw out some advocation for Cushion Modifieds and place some serious emphasis On the importance of seeing it in person before you buy one. Just because something looks good on paper doesn’t nessesarily mean it will perform the best in real life.
