I’m considering getting a bunch of glow sticks or glow necklaces (or some other glowstick type thing) to have for later into the reception. What do you think….fun or tacky and immature?
P. s. the reception is sort of formal and traditional at a country club…..but I’m all for fun after the first dances and cake cutting!

I think of a kid’s birthday party.

It really depends on your guests and your theme. I wouldn’t do it because it seems too club-y.

@Mata_Hari: I say go for what you think your guests will like and you will enjoy. It’s your wedding and it definitely won’t offend anyone. If a guests wants to grab a glow stick, they can. If they don’t, then they do not have to. I would think it would be fun and look neat in pictures. If someone wants to judge you for them, then maybe they should re-think being a guests at YOUR wedding. 🙂

If you were putting them on the table as decor I would be like ummm…. but I think it would be fun for dancing. I’d crack one open.

I did them and it wasn’t tacky at all – just don’t over do it.
We had our reception on the beach in the evening (7pm-11pm) – the resort set up lights but they didnt flood everywhere, so the Glow bracelets and necklaces were awesome while everyone was dancing. It made for awesome pics and video!

It depends what type of wedding you want! I think it sounds like a super fun idea and sure your guests will be into it..especially the ones who like to drink, dance, and have a good time 😉

Fun! I think anything to keep your guests on the dance floor is good!
